Authentic mincemeat pie ~ The real deal; just like the old days. This pie must ship via UPS Second Day, so we won't ship over a weekend. Thanks to Garden & Gun Magazine for their enthusiasm over our authentic mincemeat pie, and to Esquire Magazine for saluting our pie in their December 2010 issue! I planned to offer this pie only at Christmas, but since customers are always yearning for this we're offering it year-round. I'm on a one-man crusade to resurrect the traditional mincemeat pie, not anything like that cloying version from supermarkets; this is the pie your dad and granddad loved. The mincemeat pie is full of apples, raisins, golden raisins and a little suet, finished with a good splash of brandy and topped with smoked bourbon sugar from our pals in Kentucky. ~ $28 plus $13.60 shipping
Red Truck Bakery shipping policy and transit times: We appreciate every order and we watch it carefully; please know that we are just three bakers in a small bakery producing some very unique and popular items, and we emphasize quality over quantity. We bake to order and try to get each order out within a day, but demand and availability of ingredients may mean an additional day is needed to produce your item. In most cases, we process orders the afternoon before we bake and come in at 2 am to bake online orders as well as items for our bakery, so know that we rarely can turn around an order the same day. This pie requires shipping via UPS 2-Day, so we don't ship over a weekend to avoid having our baked goods sit for two days in a UPS warehouse.
